The conference ‘Best Practices in Sustainability at Czech and Bavarian Universities’, organised by the Institute for Social Research and Technology Assessment at OTH Regensburg together with WBU Pilsen, will shed light on this question.
Many universities are currently working on strategic sustainability concepts and implementing sustainability and climate justice in their development plans. This involves, for example, their own resource consumption and its reduction, campus-related energy management and the goal of a whole-institution approach that considers and implements sustainable development goals holistically.
The symposium brings together existing best practice examples from Bavaria and the Czech Republic and also provides space for interactive dialogue and the joint development of solutions on the path to sustainable higher education through four open-space sessions.
The conference will take place on Friday, 18 October 2024 in the Biopark from 10 am to 5 pm. Conference languages (presentations) are German/Czech (translation available) and English for the afternoon programme. The event is made possible and sponsored by the BTHA and supported by INDIGO.
