On 15 March 2025, eleven students decided to embark on a new chapter in their careers with the part-time Bachelor of Business Administration. Initially, there was a lot of organisational work on the timetable: The ZWW course coordinators, Sandra Bauer and Sonja Lindner, organised an introductory session, an introduction to the IT infrastructure and university library as well as a campus tour to help the students find their way around the university for the first time. On the very first day, the students also got to know course director Prof. Dr Ingo Striepling and course supervisor Peter Michl from the Faculty of Business and Management, who advise the students on all content-related questions during their studies. The students are accompanied and supported by the ZWW course coordinators in all organisational matters throughout their studies.
All participants already have professional experience in various commercial areas. Over the next seven semesters, they can now expect a ‘comprehensive business management programme’ with lectures and seminars in subjects such as logistics, law, project management, HR management or accounting and the opportunity to specialise in later semesters in the areas of marketing and communication or finance and controlling.
Some of the students come to OTH Regensburg from as far away as Munich for the part-time Bachelor's programme. This is made possible by the new study concept: lectures take place during the week in the evening, online via Zoom. Students then study in groups on campus in Regensburg on Saturdays or in a block week.
Last-minute students can still join the 1st semester until mid-April. From the 2nd semester onwards (starting in September 2025), specialists and business economists can join the current study group and complete the course in just 6 semesters.
