New period product dispensers on the Campus

Period product dispensers with free menstrual products for emergencies have recently been made available on our Galgenbergstraße campus and at OTH Regensburg's Prüfeninger Straße site.

Menstruation is part of everyday life at OTH Regensburg; after all, a significant proportion of all university members menstruate. Despite this, the topic is often taboo and scandalised. Only with the appropriate infrastructure can a smooth visit to the campus be made possible for all members of the university: Menstruating students have access to adequate products, do not have to resort to unsuitable solutions or interrupt their day in an emergency and can change their menstrual product more regularly, which prevents negative health consequences.

In the spirit of gender equality and to promote social participation and inclusion of all university members, OTH Regensburg has now installed period product dispensers. Menstruating students are thus provided with free period products in case of an emergency. An additional aim is to remove the taboos and stigma surrounding menstruation and menstruating people. The new dispensers and their first filling were financed by the University Women's Representative Prof Dr Birgit Scheuerer. Further dispensers are already being planned.

You can currently find period products at the following locations:
