New perspectives in cooperation with the Singapore Institute of Technology

In January, OTH Regensburg welcomed the Head of the International Office of the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Arthur Poh Heo Tat.

The visit focused on deepening and expanding cooperation in the area of student and lecturer exchange as well as the possibilities of joint study programmes, particularly in the Master's degree programme in Electrical and Microsystems Engineering (MEM).

At a meeting with Vice President Prof. Dr Oliver Steffens, the Head of the International Office at OTH Regensburg, Prof. Dr Rupert Schreiner (ANK) and Prof. Dr Johannes Reschke (EI), it was decided to extend the student exchange to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and Applied Natural and Cultural Sciences.

Arthur Poh Heo Tat also exchanged views with Prof. Dr Georgios Raptis and Prof. Dr Markus Westner on existing collaborations with the Faculty of IM and discussed the development of future summer schools at OTH Regensburg. These could take place with SIT student groups in the fields of cybersecurity, digital health, artificial intelligence and sustainability.

This visit marked a significant step in deepening the cooperation between OTH Regensburg and the Singapore Institute of Technology and opened up new perspectives for future joint projects.
