Three bands, one stage and the chance to represent Regensburg internationally: At the local preliminary round of the OTH Regensburg Europavox Campus Band Competition on Thursday, 27 February 2025 at 7 p.m. in W1 - Zentrum für junge Kultur, three talented formations will compete against each other. The winning ensemble will represent OTH Regensburg at the international final of the Europavox competition on 9 April 2025 in the Leerer Beutel.
The participating bands:
- Magazine Front Cover - An indie rock band whose lyrics deal with youth and music scenes, as well as social and self-criticism.
- Robert & Belinda - A duo that creates a multi-faceted sound with lyrics in English, German and Spanish as well as groovy percussion elements.
- Silent Waters - A four-piece formation that touches with emotional lyrics, polyphonic vocals and an energetic arrangement.
A jury made up of students, lecturers and the management of W1 will decide on the winner and evaluate the performance of the bands.
Europavox is a music platform founded with the support of the European Commission. Its aim is to promote bands and artists from Europe and make them known to the European public. Europavox cooperates with four countries for the first European music springboard for students, Europavox Campus. This unique cultural initiative brings together music and universities from Germany, France, Norway and Romania.
