Dear members of the university,
It is with deep dismay and sadness that I have to inform you that Honorary Professor Dr. Peter Morsbach has passed away completely unexpectedly.
Dr. Morsbach has taught at the Faculty of Architecture since 2002 with great dedication, particularly in the field of historical building research. In 2012, he was awarded the title of Honorary Professor for his outstanding achievements and extraordinary commitment to our university.
As a proven expert in monument preservation and building research, he was recognized far beyond the borders of Regensburg. Numerous projects and publications as well as his own publishing house bear witness to this. He was also a committed and passionate communicator of history and building culture, who always had a particular interest in students.
The loss of Dr. Morsbach leaves a huge gap in our university community. We will always remember his work. We will miss him greatly as a colleague and friend.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all those who were close to him.
From Monday, 28.04.2025, the Faculty of Architecture will place a book of condolence for Dr. Morsbach in room L 204 for ten days from 12.00 noon so that members of the university can say goodbye to him.
OTH Regensburg will always honor his memory.
