You have started an application, but you have not submitted it yet. This means that your application was not received by us and will not be considered.

Submitted

You have submitted your application online. You must now wait for the application to be processed by the Admissions Office. Due to the large number of applications we receive every semester, processing your application may take a few days. Please be patient and do not ask for status updates.

Valid

Your application was processed and can be considered for admission because you have fulfilled the formal application requirements. This means that you have uploaded all the types of documents that are required for application purposes. If there are any missing documents which will are not mandatory for admission but may be relevant for enrolment, they will be shown in the application portal. If you receive admission, you can submit these during enrolment.

The application status "Valid" does not necessarily mean that you will be offered admission. You will receive our decision after the application deadline. Please check on our website whether your programme has restricted admission or has scheduled an aptitude test.

 

 

In progress / Temporarily excluded

Your application has been processed but cannot be considered for admission because essential documents are missing. Please log in to the application portal to see what these documents are. Please upload the missing documents before the deadline in the application portal ("Home" - "Document upload"). If you are unsure why a document was not accepted, please double check the admission requirements of the programme you have applied for. You can search for the programme on ourwebsite

Excluded

Your application is not valid and will be excluded from the admission process.


The application status can change, for example when additional documents are received, or your application is checked a second time etc. You should therefore always check your status again before the end of the application period.


Admission offered – admission notice follows

Congratulations! You have received admission for this program.

  • For Bachelor programs without restricted admission (no NC), your admission notice will soon be avaliable for download in the OTH Regensburg application portal.
  • For Bachelor programs with restricted admission (NC), you must first accept the place of study online at hochschulstart.de. You will then receive your admission notice by e-mail from the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung (= hochschulstart.de). Please keep the admission notice safely and do not delete it, copies can not be issued. Please check your e-mail and spam folder regularly.
  • For Master programs, you will receive the admission notice by e-mail.

Admission declined – Rejection notice to follow

If you applied for a Bachelor program with restricted admission and you see this status, then you have not received a place on this degree programme because of the Numerus Clausus NC (restricted admission). Please wait for the written rejection notice – it will show you all further information. Please do not call us to ask whether any study place have become free. We cannot predict how the admission procedure will develop and whether or not a place will become available. You will be informed as soon as possible if a place does become available. Please keep the rejection notice in a safe place – copies cannot be issued.
