Scholarships from STIBET I - Combined Scholarship and Support Programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

STIBET Scholarships

  • International degree-seeking students can apply for a STIBET scholarship from the 3rd semester onwards.

    The following criteria must be met:

    • You are studying in at least the 3rd semester of a Bachelor or Master degree programme.
    • You are enrolled at OTH Regensburg during the funding period.
    •  You have a good academic record (grade point average of 3.0 or better).
    •  You do not receive any other scholarships during the funding period (regardless of the type and amount of the scholarship payments).
    •  You do not have a permanent stay outside your place of study during the funding period (exception: stays abroad as part of a compulsory stay according to the study regulations, these are possible).
    •  You do not have German citizenship.

    Students with child(ren) are given preferential consideration.

     

    Additional criteria for the various scholarships

    Scholarship for more equal opportunities:
     You have to overcome special challenges during your studies (e.g. refugees, people with disabilities, people with chronic illnesses, people with special care situations for children (0 - 12 y.o.) or family members in need of care).

    Scholarship for special commitment:
     You can demonstrate outstanding commitment in an international context (including voluntary work).

    Scholarship for graduation:
     A successful graduation is expected within 12 months.


  • The funding period (between 1 and 6 months) and funding amount (between € 250 and € 992 per month) will only be determined after the applications received have been reviewed. The duration and amount of the scholarship are adapted to the available funds.

    Scholarship holders may earn up to €556 gross. If the additional income exceeds this amount, the scholarship will be reduced accordingly so that the total amount of the scholarship and additional income does not exceed €1,548 per month.

    Important: Payment of the full scholarship amount is not guaranteed.

    Notes on how to compile your documents


    CV (required for all three types of scholarship)

    Your CV should contain this information:

    • Personal data
    • Family name, first name
    • Date of birth
    • Place of birth
    • Nationality

    Details of your university education (please also list discontinued studies)

    •  Period
    •  Degree programme
    •  University (city / country)
    •  Title of the degree you are aiming for

    Details of your school education

    •  Period
    •  School-leaving certificate
    •  School (city / country)

    Proof of voluntary work (required for the scholarship for special commitment, helpful for all three scholarships)

    Your proof of voluntary work (also with an international connection) should include this information:

    • Time period
    • Description of the activity
    • Name of the Organisation
    • Location of the organisation (city / country)
    • Certificates, references, etc. (if available)
    • Confirmation from the organisation

    Confirmation that you will be graduating within the next 12 months (required for the application for the graduation scholarship)
