Art. 38 BayHIG

The Dean is elected by the Faculty Council from among the professors of the faculty. The dean is represented by a vice dean (Art. 39 BayHIG).

The Dean is responsible for chairing the Faculty Council. Among other things, he or she implements the resolutions of the Faculty Council and manages the day-to-day business of the faculty, draws up proposals for the faculty's development planning with the involvement of the Dean of Studies and is responsible for its implementation, including the target agreements to be concluded with the university management on this basis.

Art. 40 BayHIG

The Dean of Studies is elected by the Faculty Council from among the professors. Among other things, the Dean of Studies works towards quality assurance and, if necessary, quality improvement of the courses offered, is responsible for the teaching quality assessment, including student evaluations, and submits an annual teaching report to the Faculty Council.

Art. 41 BayHIG

The faculty councils at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg consist of the dean, the vice dean, the dean of studies and 22 elected members (12 professors, 4 representatives of the research associates, 2 representatives of the other staff, 4 representatives of the students) and the Faculty's Women's Representative. The Dean is responsible for chairing the Faculty Council.

The Faculty Council is responsible for all matters of the Faculty for which the Dean or another body of the Faculty is not responsible.
