Senate of the OTH Regensburg

The Senate consists of ten elected members (6 university lecturers, 1 representative of the academic staff, 1 representative of the academic support staff, 2 representatives of the students) as well as the representative for equal opportunities for women in science and art at the university. The Senate elects a chairperson from among its voting members.

The Senate performs the tasks regulated in Art. 35 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG) within the framework of self-administration. The tasks of the Senate as a central collegial body include, among other things, the resolution of the legal regulations to be issued by the university, the determination of research priorities and the resolution of proposals for the establishment, modification and discontinuation of study programs.

The OTH Regensburg Senate usually meets on the second Thursday of every month during the semester. The short minutes of the Senate meetings, which are open to the public, can be viewed in the document portal under University Management/Senate.
