Study beING

The module study programme “beING” prepares you for a degree course in the field of engineering and offers you guidance when choosing your future degree course. You can gain insights into engineering mathematics, electrical engineering, information technology and mechanical engineering. You will also receive support in the selection of individual modules and working techniques at the university.

All information at a glance

  • The same enrollment requirements apply for the pre-study programme as for all Bachelor's students.

    You need either

    • the allgemeine Hochschulreife,
    • the Fachhochschulreife,
    • a certificate recognized as equivalent
    • or a specific professional qualification.

  • The pre-study programme is limited to 65 places. Registration is now open.

     

    Registration:

    1. Please register in the OTH Regensburg application portal. Registration with Hochschulstart is not necessary for this pre-study programme.

    2. The application takes place online. Complete the online application and upload all required application documents, including at least your university entrance qualification. If further documents are required, these will be requested in the application portal.

    3. Regularly check your status in the application portal. Here you can see whether any documents are missing. If any documents are missing, please submit them as soon as possible. The status will then change again.

    4. You will automatically receive e-mail notifications via the application portal if your application status changes.

    5. After your application has been processed, you will receive as confirmation of receipt an e-mail from the Admissions and Organisation Office of OTH Regensburg with further information.


  • Compulsory modules

    Mathematics is an essential part of engineering. Therefore, the module "Mathematics 1" is attended by all beING students together. The module "Working Techniques", in which the methods required for successful studies are learned, is also compulsory for all students.


    Elective modules

    You should also take the opportunity to have a look at various basic modules in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering. On the first day of the semester, you will find out in an individual consultation which of these are suitable for you and can be credited towards a future degree programme. Please select your preferences for your application.

    • Engineering Design 1
    • Renewable Energies
    • Technical English
    • Engineering Mechanics

    • Duration: 1 semester (can be extended by a maximum of one semester after consultation)
    • Costs: Semester fee
    • Language of instruction: German
