Since 1997, Total E-Quality Deutschland e.V. has presented annual awards to all kinds of organisations that are committed to equal opportunities. Total E-Quality Management (composed of Total Quality Management and Equality) is a personnel management system that is oriented towards gender on the one hand, and increasingly towards the different life situations and perspectives of employees on the other. The rating is based on a voluntary self-check and is awarded for three years.
Every year, the association awards the "Total-E-Quality" rating for exemplary action in terms of personnel management geared towards equal opportunities. Total-E-Quality is recommended by renowned public figures (board of trustees) and by the German government.
