Accompanying Course in Basic Maths

In the accompanying course, numerous exercises are used to cover the content of school mathematics, which forms the basis of the first semester mathematics lecture. Participation in the course is voluntary and free of charge, no registration is required. Please be aware that the course is taught in German.

 

The accompanying course "Basic Maths" is offered by the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Service Office to promote equal opportunities at OTH Regensburg.

  • Students in their first semester who need explanation and practice in school mathematics, especially students in STEM subjects who completed graduated from school some time ago (e.g. vocationally qualified students) or students who graduated from school in a different school system (e.g. abroad).


  • Algebra

    - Arithmetic laws for real numbers

    - Fractions

    - power laws

    - binomial formulas

    - Solution of linear and quadratic equations and inequalities

    Differential and integral calculus as well as curve discussion of

    - whole-rational functions

    - fractional-rational functions

    - Exponential and logarithmic functions

    Trigonometry

    - Relationships on right-angled triangles

    - Basic functions sine, cosine and tangent
